MOST BUSINESS OWNERS ARE MAKING THINGS WAY TOO DIFFICULT
I was glad he couldnāt see my face.
Because the expression plastered across it was a mix of confusion, despair, and incredulity.
āOkay,ā I said. āTalk me through it one more time.ā
He then proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes going through every single part of his current business model.
There were a dozen different Facebook ads ā¦
2 email sequences.
A quiz.
A 90-minute webinar.
Multiple different up-sells, cross-sells, and different products.
There were sales pages and sales calls.
āRight,ā I remarked, once Iād gained composure, feeling like Iād just had the inner workings of the superconducting magnets in the Hadron Collider explained to me.
āAnd how much money is this bringing in each month?ā
āAbout 8 grand,ā he shot back.
āAnd how much of that is profit?ā
There was a pause.
I could sense he didnāt really want to say. After a few more seconds he croaked ā
āNothing.
Well, a few hundred bucks. If Iām lucky.
But pretty much whatever comes in, goes straight back out again.ā
This was a conversation I had with a business owner about a year ago.
Heād paid my fee for a consultation, and we hopped on Skype to go through his funnel.
As you just read, it was complicated.
Actually, complicated is an understatement.
This funnel made Einsteinās Theory of Relativity look like āThe Tiger Who Came to Tea.ā
It was no surprise he wasnāt making any money from this.
After his ad spend, his fee for his Clickfunnels account and email software, the monthly fee for his tech guy, and the content writers heād hired, any money he did make was just being eaten up again.
I felt for him.
I really did.
Because heād been sold a pack of lies.
Heād fallen into the trap of believing he needed some super complicated funnel in order to have a successful business, when in reality ā¦
